About This Experience

Northern Odisha offers a vibrant mix of natural beauty, royal heritage, and spiritual sites. The region, including Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Balasore, is known for its forests and cooler climate. Similipal National Park is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with dense forests and rare melanistic tigers, featuring attractions like Barehipani and Joranda Falls. Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary is renowned for wild elephants, and Bichitrapur Mangroves offer unique boat rides. The area's heritage includes the Belgadia Palace, an 18th-century royal residence, and the Kichakeswari Temple in Khiching, made of black stone from the 10th century. Haripur features terracotta brick temples reminiscent of Bishnupur. Spiritual sites include Panchalingeswar, a shrine with five Shiva Lingams, and the Maa Tarini Temple in Ghatgaon, known for its coconut offerings. Bhimkund is a scenic spot linked to the Pandavas, with a striking waterfall. Coastal attractions include Chandipur Beach, where the sea recedes significantly at low tide, and Talsari Beach, known for red crabs and tranquil scenery.
