Delhi – Guwahati – Jorhat

Fly from Delhi to Guwahati, then take a connecting flight or drive to Jorhat.

Jorhat – Majuli (Ferry & Drive)

Cross the Brahmaputra by ferry to reach Majuli, the world’s largest river island.

Majuli (Vishbav/Uttar Kamalabari Satra)

Visit the Satras (monasteries). Witness the famous "Sattriya" dance and mask-making traditions.

Mishing Tribal Village Exploration

Visit the Mishing people, who live in Chang Ghar (stilted bamboo houses). Explore their unique weaving and riverside lifestyle.

Majuli – Dimapur (Ferry + Drive)

Return to the mainland and drive to Dimapur, the gateway to Nagaland.

Dimapur – Touphema (via Kohima)

Drive to Touphema, a curated tourist village showcasing Angami Naga architecture.

Touphema – Mokokchung

Continue into the hills toward the cultural capital of the Ao Naga tribe.

Ao Naga Villages (Ungma & Longkhum)

Visit Ungma, the oldest and largest Ao village. See the log drums used for ancient signaling.

Mokokchung – Mon

A long, scenic drive through tea estates and hills into the land of the Konyaks.

Mon (Konyak Tribal Life)

Meet the elder Konyak men, famous for their facial tattoos and history as headhunters.

Mon – Longwa Village

Visit the village that straddles the India-Myanmar border. The Chief’s (Angh) house is literally split between the two countries.

Exit the hills back into the plains of Assam. Stay in a heritage tea bungalow.

Dibrugarh – Khonsa (Arunachal Pradesh)

Cross into the Tirap district, home to the Nocte and Tutsa tribes.

Khonsa – Dibrugarh

Return to Dibrugarh for a rest day and to prepare for the western leg.

Cross the Bogibeel Bridge and head into the lower Subansiri district.

Explore Hong, one of the largest villages in Asia. Meet the Apatani women, known for their traditional nose plugs and facial tattoos.

Ziro (Sustainable Farming)

Observe the Apatanis' unique integrated rice-fish cultivation system, a UNESCO heritage contender.

Ziro – Itanagar

Drive to the capital of Arunachal. Visit the Ita Fort and the Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum.

Long drive back to Assam’s capital. Evening sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra.
