Ladakh, known as "Little Tibet," is a unique blend of Tibetan Buddhism, Indo-Aryan heritage, and nomadic traditions shaped by its extreme mountain environment and spirituality. Buddhism, particularly the Vajrayana school, is central to life, with monasteries serving as religious and social centers housing treasures like thangkas, manuscripts, and statues.
