Rishikesh and Haridwar in Uttarakhand serve as gateways to the Himalayas, with Rishikesh recognized as the "Yoga Capital of the World" and Haridwar famous for Brahmakund at Har Ki Pauri. Morning train/flight to Amritsar. Evening visit to the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) to witness the Palki Sahib ceremony.

A 6-hour scenic drive into the Himalayan foothills.
